As a Security Officer Patrol Response in Akron, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public-facing library location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating clearly with staff, visitors, and local responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and public spaces, report maintenance or security-related concerns, and document daily activities, incidents, and/or policy violations in a timely manner.
- Support a welcoming environment by assisting patrons with directions and general questions while maintaining awareness of site rules and reporting concerns to Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
