Security Officer Observation Duty
As a Security Officer Observation Duty in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access activity, respond to site needs, and deliver strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or site policy concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report unauthorized access, hazards, and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Support access control and shift activity by verifying credentials, following post orders, and completing required reports related to daily operations and incident response.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
