You will complete routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage incidents, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directional support, and report unusual behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
- Support a professional environment by following post orders, maintaining awareness of daily activity, and assisting with security-related requests consistent with Allied Universal standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be willing to comply with hospital vaccine requirements.
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes the morgue.
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting when required.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
