As a Security Guard - Overnight Position in Cedar Rapids, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible, professional presence. You will support daily operations with strong communication, customer service, and integrity while working as part of a caring, reliable, and innovative team.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and access-controlled areas, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns.
- Support truck, delivery, and contractor check-in processes as applicable, helping to maintain orderly access flow and adherence to location protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
