What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, screening requirements, and security-related policies at a government location.
- Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate logs of arrivals, departures, and restricted area access.
- Respond to incidents, policy violations, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, checking doors, gates, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Observe and report unusual activity, equipment concerns, and security-related issues, and complete detailed documentation to support daily operations and/or incident follow-up.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Access control and badge experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
