As a Security Officer- Full Time Access Control in Commerce City, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor access points and help control entry and exit for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers by checking credentials, verifying authorization, and documenting site access activity.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including the perimeter, gates, parking areas, and shipping and receiving zones, while observing and reporting security-related concerns.
- Support day-to-day access control operations by helping to deter unauthorized entry, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and completing required reports, logs, and/or incident documentation.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
