Tax Accounting Analyst

Allied Universal is currently seeking a Tax Accounting Analyst to provide critical support in the preparation of Sales and Use Tax; Personal Property Tax, and other corporate tax filings. This individual will also assist with income and partnership tax compliance, special tax related projects, and tax audits.  Our tax team is an hands-on, detail-oriented group that the corporation relies upon for detailed tax information and reports.  The Tax Accounting Analyst will gain exposure to a national and international state tax landscape as Allied Universal operates with over 175 branch offices throughout North America, South America and Europe.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and analyzes detailed information/reports for sales and use tax filings
  • Assists management with tax related special projects 
  • Prepares information for personal property tax and other tax filings
  • Assists with income and partnership tax compliance
  • Support the corporate tax team with related audits for federal and state governments

Additional Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree plus at least 1-3 years of corporate income, sales and use or personal property tax experience.New graduates are also encouraged to apply. In addition, we seek the following:

  • Pursuit of or earned Masters in Taxation (MST) preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines.
  • Must be highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology.
  • Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion. Must have proven ability to maintain correspondence, discussions and materials in strictest confidence.  Must be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients, while functioning as a team player required. 
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
