Division Chief Financial Officer

Allied Universal’s Technology Services Division (AUTS) is hiring a Divisional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) that will be based out of Dallas, TX and report to the AUS Corporate Chief Financial Officer with a dotted line to the President of AUTS.

The Divisional CFO will oversee the supervision, training and professional development of team members accountable for carrying out all aspects of the general ledger accounting functions and financial reporting work product deliverables as well as work closely with the Operations Finance Team for a growing division of Allied Universal. The Divisional CFO will ensure that there are effective internal controls in place and oversee the creation and delivery of timely and accurate financial statements on a monthly basis. Also, partner effectively with the Business Unit’s President to carry out acquisition/ synergy realization strategy designed to expand the global footprint of Allied Universal’s Technology offerings to current and future customers, inclusive of cross-selling joint product offerings to customers of Allied Universal’s Guarding and Janitorial Business Units.

M&A Activities

  • Co-Lead the process to effectively achieve acquisition/synergy strategies while ensuring accurate and timely opening balance sheet reporting and ongoing monthly reporting.
  • Apply fair value accounting and account mapping knowledge and alignment of target company accounting policies and procedures to existing AUS policies, procedures and reporting deadlines

Best Practices

  • Support, drive and leverage best practices that enhance operational efficiency and profitability for the growing business of Allied Universal Technology Services
  • Improve consistency and integrity in financial reporting, budgeting and monthly forecasting
  • Analyze monthly financial closings, inclusive of customer / job financial performance
  • Ensure world class performance in achieving compliance with internal operating and financial reporting controls

Financial Business Partnership

  • Develop budgets and forecasts; report on the reasons for variances and steps taken to address required corrective actions
  • Partner with field and corporate leadership to oversee management control process and compliance
  • Provide assessment of opportunities and risks to regional leadership teams based on analysis and interpretation of operational and financial statistics and metrics
  • Prepare and coordinate periodic operating reviews and budgets for the Regional Leadership at AUTS
  • Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the corporation may enter

Corporate Accounting and FP&A

  • Lead and monitor cash flow management objectives in the areas of accounts receivable and collections
  • Interpret accounting practices and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting pursuant to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act 2002 and Allied Universal policies and procedures

  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus, CPA is required
  • 15 + years of related experience, SOX Compliance and International financial accounting and finance management is strongly preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Instill strong leadership and organizational skills and require accountability of team members
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
  • Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively meet deadlines
  • Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion. Must have proven ability to maintain correspondence, discussions and materials in strictest confidence. Must be able to work overtime
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization while functioning as a team player
