What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting.
- Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting issues to site leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, exhibit areas, public spaces, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with crowd management during events and peak attendance periods, and help to maintain orderly operations across the location.
- Support the protection of property, exhibits, and/or equipment by observing surroundings, reporting unusual activity, and following post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Possess 4+ years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
