As a Security Officer Patrol Watcher in Dolton, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a busy retail location, helping to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication. This role blends customer service with teamwork, giving you the chance to support day-to-day operations with integrity while delivering a caring, reliable, and innovative approach to every interaction.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and sharing information with site leadership and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including sales floor areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor foot traffic, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or operational concerns in accordance with site procedures.
- Assist with access control, closing procedures, and/or after-hours checks, while maintaining a visible presence and providing courteous support in a retail environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
