As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in El Paso, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support day-to-day operations through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential risks.
- Maintain an armed presence in accordance with post orders, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal standards while helping to support access control, incident response, and security-related reporting duties.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, assisting with authorized access, directional support, and other security-related tasks based on the needs of the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess a college degree.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
- Possess a corrections officer license.
- Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
- Possess a law enforcement officer license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
