As a Security Officer - Healthcare Front Desk in Hartford, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact in a dynamic healthcare location. Your role involves monitoring entry points, greeting and assisting guests and staff, and responding to inquiries while maintaining a professional presence. You will help to deter security-related incidents and contribute to a welcoming environment through outstanding communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors, staff, and/or patients by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support Allied Universal emergency response activities as appropriate for the location, including alerting emergency services or designated contacts when necessary.
  • Assist with visitor management processes, including providing directions, answering inquiries, and maintaining visitor logs.
  • Maintain a professional presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activity or behavior.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
