As a Security Officer Armed Driver Deterrence Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and/or foot patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires an active driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. At Allied Universal, you will bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting local law enforcement or emergency personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, verify authorized access where required, and document security-related concerns, incidents, and/or suspicious behavior.
- Support retail operations by assisting with de-escalation, following post orders for cash-handling or asset protection areas, and communicating observed issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
