Senior Director, Finance - Growth Platforms

Allied Universal® is hiring a Senior Director, Finance - Growth Platforms. The Senior Director, Finance of the Growth Platforms will manage multiple business units, with current business leads, ranging in size from $50M-$300M each. The position is responsible for analyzing and reporting on operations from a finance perspective, identifying action items aimed at improving EBITDA performance for the business units. The person is responsible for producing management regional reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis in a fast-paced business environment. The Senior Director Finance will report to the Allied Universal Global Chief Financial Officer and is a trusted advisor to the regional and business unit management teams on existing business, monthly operating results, opportunity identification and processes aimed at increasing revenue, improving profitability and cash flow performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support, drive and leverage best practices that enhance operational efficiency and profitability for the growing business units
  • Manage a team of Business Unit Controllers, drive accountability over accounting processes, and ensure business unit financials are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Interpret accounting practices and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting pursuant to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act 2002 and Allied Universal policies and procedures
  • Monthly financial closings, inclusive of customer / job financial performance analysis
  • Analyze and report on customer rate increase initiatives
  • Improve consistency and integrity in financial reporting, budgeting, and monthly forecasting
  • Drive management of markup economics (pay and bill rate management)
  • Partner with Presidents and leadership to oversee management control process and compliance
  • Provide assessment of opportunities and risks to Region management team based on analysis and interpretation of operational and financial statistics and metrics
  • Provide analytical support to Corporate Pricing Group in developing pro formas, as well as sales team in effective use of Pricing Model and scenario analyses, in order to drive clarity in decision-making
  • Prepare and coordinate periodic operating reviews and budgets for the business units
  • Lead and monitor cash flow management objectives in the areas of accounts receivable and collections
  • Interpret accounting practices and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting pursuant to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act 2002 and Allied Universal policies and procedures
  • Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the corporation may enter
  • Drive cross functional projects to enhance EBITDA
  • Evaluate M&A and investment opportunities across growth businesses, including evaluation, financing, and strategy

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in a financial support role with a strong emphasis on reporting and analysis
  • Direct experience working as a business partner to senior operations management
  • Experience managing, coaching, and developing a team of financial leaders
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Results and action focused; demonstrated ability to drive performance and get things done
  • Demonstrated ability of proactive initiative: i.e., opportunity identification that yielded favorable financial returns, process improvement, etc.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, confidence and decision-making ability to manage shifting priorities, demands, and timelines using analytical capabilities
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills to effectively document and report important information with all levels of the organization
  • Strong technical proficiency; expertise in Microsoft Excel with ability to quickly adapt to different financial reporting and ERP platforms
  • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
  • Dedication to high quality customer service delivery and integrity through proven client and customer relationships
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment while also working in a team oriented, collaborative environment
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  • Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgement and discretion

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration
  • Experience in outsourced managed services business or high-volume customer focused organization
  • Experience working as a Divisional CFO
  • Investment Banking experience
  • Experience working at a PE backed company
