What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity for restricted areas, verifying credentials and following post orders for authorized access.
- Support Allied Universal standards by maintaining a professional presence, handling routine questions, and completing required reports related to patrol activity, incidents, and/or daily operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Possession of an armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
