What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an auto auction location.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and deliveries entering or leaving the property.
- Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues through the appropriate chain of communication.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around vehicle lots, office areas, entry gates, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Assist with traffic flow at entry and exit points, support orderly movement of customers, staff, and transport personnel, and complete required logs and reports related to daily activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
