As a Security Officer Unarmed Badge Monitor in Melrose Park, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will also support access awareness, assist with customer service, and use clear communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouses, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries, verifying credentials and following post instructions for access control and vehicle screening.
- Support loss prevention and operational continuity by observing shipping and receiving areas, reporting policy violations, and communicating clearly with site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
