As a Security Guard Full Time Patrolling in Melville, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic manufacturing location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential hazards.
- Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, deliveries, and/or vendors in accordance with site-specific protocols.
- Support day-to-day operations by communicating clearly with site personnel, following post orders, and completing required logs, reports, and other assigned duties.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
