Risk Analyst

The Risk Analyst is responsible for performing monitoring, research, assessment and analysis on various operational and intelligence platforms and/or feeds. The Risk Analyst will also be responsible for conducting comprehensive threat/security assessments and all-source information gathering, to create highly detailed intelligence reports used to support a variety of client operations. This position reports to the Global Account Manager. This position is a graveshift position, Friday - Tuesday, 10pm to 6am.

Duties:

  • Conduct all-source collection and research, analyze, evaluate and integrate data from multiple sources, identify intelligence gaps and specify collection requirements to produce assessments and recommendations
  • Follow pre-defined actions to handle normal course of business and high severity issues including escalating to other support groups
  • Execute daily ad hoc tasks or lead small projects as needed
  • Provide timely communications and actionable intelligence to support the protection of people, assets/intellectual property and infrastructure of center and related interests/entities
  • Constantly evaluating established standards and new threats to ensure adequate protection of company assets
  • Watch for irregular or unusual security conditions that may be cause for security concerns or safety hazards affecting client facilities, employees and travelers
  • Create and maintain operational reports for KPIs and weekly and monthly metrics
  • Adeptly identify and evaluate sources of information for validity and relevance to reduce uncertainty and fill knowledge gaps
  • Perform initial risk assessment on new threats and vulnerabilities, perform assessment phase of Vulnerability and Threat Management process
  • Identify and communicate daily all critical items requiring the attention of management and coordinate with other analysts to provide necessary documentation in support of client needs
  • Gather information from multiple open-source intelligence sites using a variety of web based tools
  • Comply with and facilitate the conduct of the daily routine in the SOC
  • Monitor incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, hazardous materials, inclement weather, workplace violence and other security related incidents or conditions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in National Security, Criminal Justice, Journalism, International Affairs, history or related field. And/or a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in national security, military intelligence, criminal intelligence analysis or corporate intelligence analysis involving the principles, concepts and methodologies of all-source intelligence analysis to research, evaluate and integrate all-source data in the preparation and presentation of intelligence analytical products
  • Excellent oral communications skills, with proven comfort engaging directly with client and other customers
  • Experience learning and quickly becoming proficient maintaining databases and utilizing software such as: Analyst’s Notebook or other intelligence analysis and data collection tools Archer or other case management tools, social media analysis tools and geographic information systems, as well as the Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong understanding of incident/event advisory systems and notification processes and technology
  • Ability to produce high quality detailed documentation to internal and external parties while managing sensitive or confidential information
  • Excellent oral communication skills, with proven comfort engaging directly with client and other customers
