Security Officer Unarmed Patrol
As a Security Officer Licensed Unarmed Patrol Detail in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a shelter location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post instructions and reporting protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter property, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access to the location and observe resident, visitor, and/or staff activity for unusual behavior, policy concerns, and/or other security-related issues.
- Document incidents, routine activity, and/or observed conditions, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
