As a Security Guard Badge Control Patrol in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with professionalism, agility, and integrity while working as part of a reliable, innovative team that puts people first.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including loading areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and perimeter access points.
- Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or delivery traffic, helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting orderly site operations.
- Assist with access control, badge or credential checks, and policy compliance while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
