As a Security Officer Full Time X Ray Patrol in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access awareness, provide outstanding customer service and communication, and contribute to a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout loading areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the outer perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or site policy concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, and delivery drivers, verify authorized access when required, and report suspicious or unauthorized activity according to post instructions.
- Support loss prevention and operational continuity by documenting incidents, completing routine reports, and helping to deter theft, trespassing, and/or disruption to daily site operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
