As a Security Officer Patrol Operations Coordinator in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and support access activity while providing exceptional customer service and communication. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and responsive service, all while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative team culture and integrity-first approach.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, parking areas, trailer yards, entry points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor the movement of people, vehicles, and/or deliveries entering and leaving the location, following post orders and reporting discrepancies, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations.
- Support day-to-day security-related operations by communicating with site contacts, completing required reports, and maintaining awareness of changing conditions across the property.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
