As a Security Officer Driver Rover in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving patrol officer at a leading automotive location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This role blends customer service, communication, and mobile response while supporting access activities and daily operations. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an automotive production and logistics location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, production-adjacent spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and help to verify that only authorized personnel and visitors enter restricted areas, following post orders for visitor processing, badge checks, and delivery coordination.
- Support daily operations by communicating professionally with site personnel, following incident reporting procedures, and assisting with traffic flow, vehicle access, and/or directional guidance as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
