As a Security Professional - Healthcare Badge Access in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence helps to deter incidents and maintain order, while your exceptional customer service skills contribute to a positive atmosphere. You will respond to situations as needed, including assisting with access control and supporting hospital staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or potential concerns in and around the healthcare location.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification, and helping to manage visitor flow.
  • Work in collaboration with healthcare staff to support a secure and welcoming environment for all individuals present at the location.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports regarding daily activities, incidents, and irregularities encountered during patrols and/or assigned shifts.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific policies, procedures, and protocols in accordance with healthcare industry standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
