Security Officer Part Time Patrol

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Port Jervis, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $17.50 - $18.50 / Hour

How This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by following site-specific access procedures and other security-related policies at a healthcare location.
- Monitor entrances, badge activity, visitor check-in processes, and/or restricted access points to help support authorized entry and help to deter unauthorized access.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting security-related concerns.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by post assignment.
- Assist with emergency response activities, access-related inquiries, and/or directions for guests while maintaining professional communication and attention to site protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
