What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and/or vendor authorization, and document access activity in accordance with location guidelines.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to property management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around residential areas, common spaces, and perimeter access points, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns.
- Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a visible presence, communicating professionally with residents and visitors, and following post orders for the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associates Degree or 60 College Credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
- A Guard Card or License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
