What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, assisting with directions and/or information as needed while following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, escalating issues when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment for customers and staff.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to observe for any unusual activity and report findings to management or law enforcement as required.
• Document security-related incidents and observations according to Allied Universal protocols and site guidelines.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, assisting customers and staff during emergencies.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
