As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Associate in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and staff. This role blends patrol responsibilities with strong customer service and communication, reflecting Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or local authorities when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, exterior perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior.
- Support access control, visitor interactions, and incident documentation while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
