This position is responsible for creatively managing the Business Intelligence and Financial Systems solutions for Allied Universal. The candidate will be an expert at creating and managing solutions that meet the business requirements of the groups throughout the Company’s enterprise.  They will be working in a complex, challenging, fast-paced, and rewarding environment, with countless opportunities to directly impact the business.  This position owns the entire BI platform and is responsible for all analytics, visualizations, and user experience. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position.  Other duties may be assigned:

  • Provides technical project management leadership, during the development and implementation of initiatives to ensure solutions meet the goals of business stakeholders.
  • Owns BI & Financial Systems backlog and works directly with business stakeholders to prioritize.
  • Proposes technical solutions that address risk with both preventive and contingent actions as needed. Points out quality concerns and escalates as needed.
  • Stays informed about technology innovations and contributes to thought leadership by presenting on these topics to internal partners.
  • Promotes team solutions and capabilities through aligning features and benefits to user and business leader needs.
  • Participates in and leads meetings between key stakeholders to discuss new products, resolve open issues, and provide progress updates.
  • Works with, and through, cross functional teams to help architect solutions.
  • Maintains technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology, always looking out for new technologies, and working with the management and development teams when evaluating new technologies.
  • Mentors developers, analysts, and quality assurance team members.
  • Responsible for data security and compliance.
  • Translates business requirements into conceptual and detailed technology solutions.
  • Bridge the gap between business strategy and data architecture.
  • Designs, develops, and optimizes complex data transformation strategies.

  • 7-10+ years of BI & Financial Systems centric experience
  • 3 or more years of technical leadership experience; subject matter expertise.
  • DOMO and/or predictive modeling experience a huge plus.
  • Expert in creating powerful and effective data visualizations.
  • Must have the ability to work across enterprise, willingness to learn new skills, and eagerness to wear multiple hats.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines.

  • Must be highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology.
  • Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion. Must have proven ability to maintain correspondence, discussions and materials in strictest confidence.  Must be able to work overtime as needed.
