Senior Manager, Global Consolidation

Allied Universal Security is seeking an experienced & highly motivated Senior Manager of Global Consolidation to join our team! As the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Allied Universal global consolidation process and enhancing and maintaining the North American consolidation process. This position will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial information for internal and external partners. This role will require proven experience with building strong relationships and working cross functionally with international and subsidiary leaders, IT, finance, and accounting teams.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the global monthly consolidation process including managing the global intercompany matching process and reports, working with intercompany owners to resolve out of balance accounts, and overseeing the global close calendar
  • Responsible for key close-related tasks including scheduling consolidations, reviewing and approving consolidation journal entries, and evaluating push down entries. This may also include review of consolidated account reconciliations/roll-forwards related to leases, debt, intercompany balances, and other accounting areas
  • Liaison with International and North America subsidiaries to obtain and verify completeness and accuracy of the data transfers or reporting packages
  • Oversee the implementation of new corporate accounting policies in the North America subsidiaries and be the key contact for subsidiary accounting teams to ensure compliance with corporate policies
  • Review subsidiary balance sheet fluctuations and management reports and analyses to be provided to the leadership team and other members of the finance/accounting functions
  • Understand and own the global chart of accounts, from a micro level of understanding the nature of each account to a macro level of understanding how account mappings impact other teams such as FP&A and External Reporting. Review and approve changes to the chart of accounts and communicate such changes accordingly on a timely basis
  • Coach, develop, and motivate other users of consolidation systems on best practices and efficient use of the systems (Oracle FCCS and SAP BPC) and support future system development/implementations
  • Assist in the preparation and review of the consolidated statement of cash flows and consolidated statement of equity
  • Act as liaison between internal IA and third-party internal audit function to develop, drive and improve internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SOX framework as it relates to consolidation
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational innovation; regularly interact with business leaders and senior level management on accounting & consolidation matters
  • Support FP&A, Tax, Technical Accounting, General Ledger and other finance functions in accessing and analyzing data within the Company’s consolidation systems
  • Have significant involvement in and/or lead aspects of system implementation(s), as applicable
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance required
  • CPA or MBA strongly preferred
  • At least 5-8 years of accounting, audit and/or system administration experience required
  • Public accounting experience and/or working with pre-IPO clients is a plus
  • Experience with the development, implementation and/or maintenance of accounting systems and associated enhancements (Oracle FCCS or SAP BPC systems) is preferred
  • Must have strong leadership, relationship building and collaboration, judgement, teamwork, and people management skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with all levels of the business
  • Flexibility to work outside of US business hours to support subsidiaries across the globe and US
  • Strong project management skills and the demonstrated ability to manage numerous projects/deliverables simultaneously against set deadlines
  • Firm understanding of US GAAP financial policies, SOX, and general understanding of international financial reporting standards
  • Strong analytical abilities, self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership
  • Understand foreign currency matters, including foreign currency re-measurement and translation
  • Travel, although infrequent, may be required periodically
