As a Security Officer - Access Control - Morning Shift in Santa Fe Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain order at a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and interacting with visitors and staff to provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution environment.
• Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and/or deliveries, verifying credentials and maintaining logs as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed to Allied Universal management or client representatives.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues within the logistics and distribution location.
• Collaborate with client representatives and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and orderly environment.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident and shift reports as required by site protocols and Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
