Amazon Corporate Security Badging Office –Badge Technician II

About the role:

The Badge Technician II is primarily responsible for: special project execution, badging supplies shipping, new hire on-the-job training support, complex trouble ticket resolution, advanced access management, and phone call customer service. While operating under close supervision of the Shift Supervisor, a Badge Technician II is expected to be able to support special projects resolution while being able to utilize standard operating procedures to independently support Corporate employees and affiliates on a regular basis. This role will continue to work within a team of professionals in a fast-paced and complex environment to troubleshoot badging operations.

Badge Technician II specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Taking the lead with Regional Badge Printing
  • Taking the lead with New Hire Orientation Badging support
  • Maintain specialized badge printing equipment
  • Coordinate badge print requests for national/international customers
  • Manage Supply Requests (SEA-SLU/Domestic/UPS)
  • Manage Supply Requests (International/DHL)
  • New Hire On-the-Job Training support

The successful candidate will be comfortable with leading shift-based work, have direct day-to-day contact with our clients and will need: outstanding communication skills, an exceptional ability to multitask, a great attitude and work ethic, to be a self-reliant team player, and have the ability to leave a consistent positive impression with each and every interaction. Various administrative badging duties require good judgment and creative problem solving in the absence of specific instructions with the combined perspective of excellent customer service and strong attention to detail as security specialists.

Role Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with security access control as well as badging applications and/or software (Lenel)
  • Be comfortable with taking a leadership role in special project execution and advanced badging operations troubleshooting
  • Have previous experience in customer service or in an administrative position
  • Have previous experience with proprietary and non-standard software applications
  • Have the ability to multitask, and remain cordial and professional in stressful situations
  • Have excellent phone/email etiquette and people skills
  • Be a proactive problem solver
  • Be able to learn and apply complex Corporate Security Badging Operations solutions
  • Need to have a positive attitude and outgoing personality
  • Need to be proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite
  • Type at least 35 wpm

Preferred Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in badging, access control, security operations center, military TOC (or similar)
  • Have an Associate’s degree
  • Have supervisory experience
  • Have previous experience with content training or work mentorship
  • Have previous experience with photo editing software
  • Have previous experience with Data Analysis and Visualization software
  • Have previous experience in [domestic/international] shipping
  • Ability to read, write, and speak clearly in English
