The Regional Security Operations Center (RSOC) Supervisor is responsible for managing and leading a cross-functional team. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to assist in the development and production of intelligence-driven support products that assess risks, analyzes data / information to mitigate vulnerabilities to the client’s assets, operations, strategy, and brand reputation. The Level 4 Supervisor must be a strong leader who has a passion for analysis, problem-solving, and advising and informing decision-makers. This is a multi-functional role that collaborates closely with numerous internal and external stakeholders/partners. The main function of the Level 4 Supervisor is to guide RSOC Operations as well as motivate, inspire, and lead a cohesive team of RSOC Level 1 and 2 Operators in their duties. The Level 4 Supervisor must be able to maintain a positive attitude and articulate their thoughts (verbally or written) in a clear, concise, and respectable manner during normal day-to-day business operations and times of increased frustration and stress. They will provide clear direction as well as take direction without question and offer constructive feedback when applicable. The Level 4 Supervisor will work in a high-visibility 24/7 operations center.

COMPENSATION: Pay range: $51.00 - $53.55 per/hr with approximately 8 hours of overtime every month

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work rotating shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage for the Regional Security Operations Center (RSOC).
  • Consolidate, produce, review, and approve criminal activity and incident reporting products for delivery to higher level supervisors and client leadership.
  • Assess the threat environment, manage personnel, and resources to maximize operational coverage while mitigating risk.
  • Act as the subject matter expert and provide oversight on security related technology systems, including, but not limited to Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), Video Management Systems (VMS), Access Control Systems (ACS) and information management.
  • Serve as an administrator for CCTV and alarm monitoring / access control software in coordination with a communication or security operations center.
  • Provide oversight and assistance with access control, access card procedures, access control reports, and CCTV investigations.
  • Provide guidance and direction to cross functional teams while maintaining operational standards in a high stress environment.
  • Responsible for mentoring and training RSOC Operators.
  • Draft, develop, and update R-SOC standard operating procedures (SOPs), processes, and systems to ensure vigilant and comprehensive video monitoring, incident detection, and incident management.
  • Oversee R-SOC operators ensuring vigilant and comprehensive video surveillance and proper dispatch of security personnel.
  • Develop SOPs and automated systems to allow R-SOC operators to provide proper oversight and guidance to security personnel during security events.
  • Direct R-SOC operators in effective intelligence collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Draft and disseminate Be on the Look Out (BOLO) flyers for individuals who have acted against the client with malicious intent, or pose a threat to client properties and
  • Analyze and assess risks and threats to client personnel, operations, strategy, and brand & reputation.
  • Ensure rapid dispatch of security personnel to ensure quick reaction, disruption, and resolution of security incidents.
  • Exude a strong command presence and understanding of leadership principles to motivate, inspire, and lead a cohesive team in their duties.
  • Manage shift work employees to include scheduling, adjusting resources in response to changing requirements, and monitoring pay.
  • Develop and produce intelligence-driven support products that assess risk, analyzes data / information to mitigate vulnerabilities to the clients, assets, operations, strategy, and brand reputation.
  • Manage and utilize CCTV, access control and alarm monitoring software and systems (Lenel, Genetec, Physical Security Information Management System (PSIMS), MS Office applications, and visualization tools (to include building infographics) on a daily basis.
  • Provide assistance with access control, access card procedures, Lenel reports, and CCTV investigations.
  • Consolidate, produce, review, and approve criminal activity and incident reporting products for delivery to higher level supervisors and client leadership.
  • Prepare and present briefings to management or targeted audience on a regular basis.
  • Work with highly confidential/proprietary information on a daily basis.
  • Complete multiple tasks simultaneously and function in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain proficiency with Web-based social media platforms, search tools, productivity applications, and communication technology, the ability to utilize all available OSINT resources.
  • Wear business casual attire and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Ensure proper accountability of all issued equipment for a 12-person team.
  • Manage and submit RSOC supply inventory requests.
  • Other services and support as needed.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

The RSOC Supervisor (Level 4) must have:

  • 4-years of experience in supervisory positions within:
    • Law Enforcement (dispatch center, records management, emergency services, specialized teams/units, analytical sections).
    • Military (S3 OIC/NCOIC, S2 NCOIC/OIC, specialized teams/units, analytical sections, operations).
    • Interagency (FBI, CIA, DIA, NSA, DHS, DoS, Federal Protective Services, Diplomatic Security).
    • Other - GSOC, SOC, Emergency & Disaster Management, Communications and Dispatch Center.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a passion for analysis, problem-solving, and advising or informing decision-makers.
  • College Degree or Equivalent: International Relations, Police Science, Business Management, Intelligence Studies, Political Science, Security Studies, Emergency & Disaster Management, Security Management, or equivalent experience (preferred but not required).
  • Effective writer, verbal communicator, and proficient with English composition.
  • Ability to communicate, verbally or in writing, in a clear and concise manner while in stressful situations.
  • Experience in managing shift work employees to include scheduling, adjusting resources in response to changing requirements, monitoring pay, and operate as a first and/or second line supervisor.
  • Ability to work nights/weekends (primarily).
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time without debilitating discomfort.
  • Experience using CCTV and alarm monitoring software in coordination with a communications center or GSOC (SOC, JOC).
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; experience with Microsoft SharePoint is a plus.
  • Strong analytic, oral, and written presentation skills to include the ability to deliver communications centered on a target audience.
  • Proven ability to work with highly confidential/proprietary information.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally or in writing in a clear and concise manner while in stressful situations.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools to include building infographics.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS and skills

  • Trained in or familiar with Lenel or Genetec, Physical security information management systems (PSIMS),and Mass Notification systems.
  • Experience or familiarity with corporate intelligence, military intelligence, or government intelligence agencies (not required).
  • A life-long learner and someone who is dedicated to developing as an intelligence professional.
  • Advanced proficiency in, or the aptitude and willingness to rapidly learn, Web-based social media platforms, search tools, productivity applications, and communication technology, the ability to utilize all available OSINT resources.
