Project Manager – Training

POSITION PURPOSE:

  • Administers, organizes, and conducts company and client training programs for all employees assigned to client facility.
  • Assess several elements and alternatives providing input to update policy and procedure based on client needs. Train new employees and assist lower-level personnel.
  • Ensure client contract training and certification requirements are tracked and accounted for.
  • Assist site leads with all aspects of training and development to service the client sites.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Responsible for monthly training and drill metrics and reports, develop and create forms
  • Responsible for client SOP updates and immediate dissemination of SOP updates to site leads, retraining and counseling of trainers as appropriate
  • Develop and maintain the AUS share point site for Client. Including creating content and working directly with our Corporate training department to develop client specific courses
  • Update and implement Supervisory Training Program
  • Integration of the AUS LMS system for the security team
  • Plans, organizes, and conducts training programs, seminars, and conferences for all security personnel assign to the client's facility.
  • Writes material for new training programs; reviews, evaluates, and modifies existing and proposed programs; recommends appropriate changes to existing client LMS training programs.
  • Prepares and distributes training aids such as instructional material, handouts and evaluation forms, makes presentations when necessary.
  • Contacts attendees and department representatives about training program.
  • Schedules the appropriate classroom and prepares the physical setup.
  • Ability to work a flexible shift to accommodate training needs of staff on all sites
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Vice President of Operations
  • Work with site leads to develop and update contract exhibits, for hours, training and equipment for client review and approval
  • Ensures that pertinent training, inspection and maintenance records are in compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies and Client / policies and procedures. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Criminal Justice and/or at least five years of general management experience. Minimum of 5 years of contract or proprietary security services, law enforcement and/or military experience is highly desired. Also, we require the following skills:

  • Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
  • Proven track record of excellence in customer service and financial management
  • Superior, world-class interpersonal and communication skills as well as solid writing skills
  • Dedication to high-quality customer service delivery and integrity through proven client and customer relationships
  • Proficient in web-based applications, computer systems and programs (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint), to effectively edit and create reports, database entries, and presentation materials
  • Highly effective leader with the ability to build strong relationships internally with all levels of the organization and manage under difficult service delivery timeframes
  • Participate in industry specific professional organizations such as ASIS
  • Work with all levels in the organization to identify, analyze and solve problems and create opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information and data
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented management environment while focused on results

The position requires ~35% domestic travel to client locations as well as other Allied Universal offices when necessary.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Ability to communicate with company employees, trainers from other companies, professional training group members, and consultants by phone, in person, or through correspondence
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal direction.
  • Knowledge of Security operations at large manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of Fire operations at large manufacturing environments
