What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific access procedures, screening protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, check identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to buildings, loading areas, trailer yards, and other restricted locations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related events and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and shipping and receiving zones, with attention to unusual activity and/or policy violations.
- Maintain visitor, contractor, and/or vehicle access records, issue passes or badges when required, and support security-related procedures related to deliveries, pickups, and facility access.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
