Allied Universal is looking to hire an Account Manager. Account Manager jobs at Allied Universal are accountable for day-to-day operations of an assigned account, including hiring, training, disciplining and terminating staff. Build, improve and maintain relationships with clients and employees: develop & retain staff; coordinate needed support services and solve problems to effectively run the account. Meet or exceed financial & operational goals; provide quality customer service. Maintains or oversees maintenance of weekly operating schedules and completion of payroll for assigned security personnel. Provides after-hour emergency response as required. To support and ensure success in this role, we provide a comprehensive, week-long management onboarding course designed to provide best practices, tools and guidance.

Job Overview:

The Contract Campus Security Manager is responsible for overseeing all security operations at a university campus on behalf of a private security firm. This role ensures that contracted security staff adhere to university policies and procedures while maintaining a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. The manager will oversee security personnel, enforce compliance with university requirements, and coordinate with the university police department, campus law enforcement, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary security liaison between the university and the private security firm.
  • Ensure that contract security personnel comply with university policies, procedures, and operational requirements.
  • Meet with internal customer stakeholders weekly and log meeting information into a CRM database.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, including access control, visitor management, emergency response protocols, and incident reporting.

2. Security Personnel Management & Staffing

  • Hire, train, schedule, and develop a team of 55 security officers.
  • Ensure that security staff are properly equipped, trained, and operating in accordance with university and police department standards.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to ensure contracted security staff meet the university’s expectations and contractual obligations.

3. Incident Response & Risk Management

  • Investigate security incidents and emergencies, coordinating with the university police department and other law enforcement agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement security improvements.
  • Maintain detailed records of incidents and generate reports for campus administration.

4. Emergency Preparedness & Compliance

  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for scenarios such as active shooter situations, natural disasters, and medical emergencies.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures, as well as OSHA regulations, Clery Act, and Title IX requirements.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in law enforcement or military service (required).
  • 2+ years of experience in contract management and staffing.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and personnel management abilities.
  • Experience with risk assessments, emergency planning, and incident reporting.
  • Excellent communication and client relations skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in security software, incident reporting systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Clery Act and Title IX is a significant plus.
  • Certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP (Physical Security Professional), or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
  • Experience working in higher education security or public safety environments.
