As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Screening in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Support loss prevention and store operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with crowd and line monitoring, and following post orders related to opening, closing, and after-hours activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
