As a Security Officer Hospital Access Monitor in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public agency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, provide directions and assistance, and support orderly movement of people throughout the location.
- Observe and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations, and assist with security-related requests and post orders in accordance with Allied Universal standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
