As a Security Guard Trucking Gate Access in Wilmington, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
- Document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity, issue access instructions, and communicate security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, shipping and receiving areas, and the perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- Be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
