Senior Staff Accountant

An Allied Universal® Company, Risk and Advisory Consulting Services (RACS), is hiring a Senior Staff Accountant. The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining the general ledger and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of account reconciliations and financial statements prepared as part of the month-end close process. The Senior Accountant will also support the annual audit examination conducted by the company’s independent auditors, and complete various ad hoc projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Assistant Controller in month-end close procedures including booking journal entries, account reconciliations and analytical support
  • Research, reconcile, and resolve account discrepancies
  • Engage in trend and budget P&L analysis.
  • Support the field and other corporate department initiatives
  • Maintain sub-ledgers and schedules for Balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Collaborate and support the operations and finance team to provide reporting and analytics
  • Annual audit examination assistance and verification of documents

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional accounting experience
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented
  • Ability to take initiative, successfully manage and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
  • Proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology
  • Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate completed or in progress
