Security Officer Unarmed Access Patrol

As a Security Officer Unarmed Access Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness with strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including office areas, lobbies, production spaces, and perimeter access points, helping to identify unusual activity and/or conditions that need attention.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials where required, and help to support access control practices for employees, contractors, and/or visitors at the location.
- Support security-related operations within a technology-focused environment by maintaining awareness of site protocols, communicating clearly with clients and/or staff, and helping to address issues involving property, personnel, and/or facilities.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
