Security Officer Unarmed Computer Tablet Associate Job in Austin, Texas

As a Security Officer Unarmed Computer Tablet Associate in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will interact professionally with visitors and staff, document security-related observations using computer or tablet tools, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken according to site procedures.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and provide directions or assistance in a professional manner.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
