Security Officer Unarmed - Site Entrance Job in Blythewood, South Carolina

As a Security Officer Unarmed - Site Entrance in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, parking areas, loading docks, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and visitor activity; verify credentials and direct authorized personnel in accordance with site policies.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while supporting a professional, customer-focused environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least two years of security-related experience.
- Have at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
