Security Officer Credential Issuance Job in Borough of Northampton, Pennsylvania

As a Security Officer Credential Issuance in Northampton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage and logistics distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and assisting visitors and employees with professionalism. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, and support security-related operations through teamwork and integrity. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at food/beverage and logistics/distribution locations.
- Control access to the facility by verifying identification, reviewing visitor and driver authorization, issuing credentials as directed, and documenting entries and exits.
- Monitor access points, delivery traffic, and loading areas to help support orderly movement of personnel, vehicles, and shipments.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, exterior areas, business operations, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
