As a Security Officer Full Time Armed College Campus in Boynton Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization when required, and report suspicious behavior, hazardous conditions, or policy violations according to site procedures.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required documentation for patrols, incidents, and daily activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPO certification is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Minimum of 2 year of corrections, law enforcement and/or college degree in criminal justice.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
