Security Officer Entry Authorization Job in Cheshire, Ohio

As a Security Officer Entry Authorization in Cheshire, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and assist visitors and employees with professionalism. Your visible presence and clear communication will help support a secure environment and help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor badges as applicable, and maintain accurate access-related records.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Maintain professional communication with site personnel and the Allied Universal team while supporting a controlled and orderly environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
