Security Officer Full Time Driver Courtesy Patrol Job in Chicago, Illinois

As a Security Officer Full Time Driver Courtesy Patrol in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
- Document observations, incidents, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders as required.
- Assist with access control, visitor direction, and campus event support while maintaining a professional presence in diverse educational environments.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
