Security Officer Full Time Computer Assisted Patrol Job in Columbus, Ohio

As a Security Officer Full Time Computer Assisted Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service to travelers, visitors, and staff. You will communicate professionally, document security-related activity using computer or tablet tools, and contribute through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a caring culture at Allied Universal.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and airport tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminal areas, parking facilities, access points, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
- Monitor for and report unusual activity, unauthorized access, hazards, and security-related concerns in accordance with established procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs while maintaining professional communication with the public and site personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
