As an Armed Security Officer, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols at a retail distribution location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site requirements.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
